KJ Helps Hobbycraft Managers Beat Effects Of Stress

Business development specialists KJ Associates have completed stress management training for 60 store and line managers within HobbyCraft's 19 stores and head office.

The fast-growing art and craft superstore chain called KJ in to train managers how to identify and respond to stress levels within themselves and their staff.

The programme also included an understanding of work/life balance and how the culture of a company can affect stress levels in its managers and staff.

HobbyCraft's HR manager Sue Cruells said: "Feedback from our managers indicates the training has enabled many to change their perspective of work, learn how to identify the signs of stress in their staff, and changed their thinking in the planning of work levels through assessing any new tasks before making time commitments.

"KJ delivered the training flexibly over three sites around the south and responded to complete the programme quickly.

"HobbyCraft has a comprehensive training programme that includes succession planning - we are keen to help staff develop and we like to promote from within."
