KJ Associates Trains Corgi Trainers

KJ Associates has provided its Train the Trainer programme to national gas safety watchdog CORGI to enable its trainers to best provide skills updates and communicate latest regulations and British Standards.

Basingstoke-based CORGI (the Council for Registered Gas Installers)
promotes and enhances gas safety, standards and quality and runs a register of competent and qualified gas installers.

The group of trainers provides training for CORGI employees around the UK.

Karen Vaughan, CORGI's employee services manager, said: "Our trainers found KJ's course invaluable for gaining new skills and methods of delivery. They have a lot of information to get across and need to make their sessions as interesting and effective as possible."

KJ's Katie Jones, who formerly worked in Barclays Bank's central Train the Trainer department for nearly three years, said: "Training is often seen as just the delivery of information, but it needs to change behaviours and attitudes and help people achieve outcomes for the business in their day-to-day working lives."

Katie helped the trainers produce a better structure to their
programmes and use varied techniques such as discussion, comparison and differing methods of delivery for different learning styles.
