KJ Associates Launches Project Management Development Courses

Training and business consultancy KJ Associates has launched a new series of inhouse training workshops for project managers.

Katie Jones of Ringwood-based KJ Associates said: "What's missing from many projects is a sense of reality. To succeed, a project must be grounded to its planned outcomes, it must map out the organisational and financial impact of not meeting those outcomes and use proper control processes to ensure outcomes are achieved.

"It shouldn't be handled in an attitude of 'We are doing this project because it is necessary', but 'This is the most effective way to move the organisation forward and to remain competitive'."

KJ now provides different workshops for project members, project leaders and managers with project responsibility in any type of company or organisation.

Delegates will learn to:

  • make the business case for any project
  • plan and organise a project to ensure success
  • create a work breakdown structure and critical path, set and monitor key milestones
  • monitor, control and adjust a project effectively.

Katie said: "Any move from conception and planning to approved project status must be based on a financial and organisational appraisal of the options open to the business. Good project management creates a virtuous spiral of success through good planning, good control and sustainable organisational change."
