Our course 'Managing and Understanding Stress' is designed to help managers understand what causes stress, how to identify stress and how to take simple preventative steps to reduce or deal with stress. The course begins by discussing what stress is and how it affects us, including the reactions of different personality types. We then look at ways of maintaining a balanced lifestyle to reduce the effect of stress and the value of positive communication to help us work towards solutions. We will look at ways of prioritising daily work activities and the benefits of planning and proactivity to identify possible problem areas in advance.
The Managing and Understanding Stress course will look at management style and corporate culture and its impact on the individual. We will discuss the issue of how stress relates to performance and look at ideas to take forward to reduce stress in the organisation. We will also look at how the individual can take simple steps to reduce stress through diet, exercise, relaxation, sleeping habits and peace of mind. The course will conclude with designing an Action Plan for a Stress Free Future.
The Stress Management course will enable participants to manage and cope with changing situations more effectively. Participants will improve their awareness of their own stress levels so that they can take action to reduce it promptly. They will also be able to provide support to team members before their stress becomes a serious issue.
