The Coaching Skills training course aims to enable managers, team leaders and supervisors to use the skills of coaching to improve the performance of all team members, including difficult team members and under-performers. These staff coaching skills will enable them to work more effectively with their teams by utilising a variety of coaching techniques, giving feedback and understanding learning styles, leading to better understanding and development of each individual and improved team performance.
The Coaching Skills course begins with a discussion of the role of the coach, how to recognise and adjust the coaching style to individual learning styles and how to create a favourable learning climate. The course will include coaching exercises and describe how to develop a coaching plan.
The course is aimed at managers, team leaders and supervisors and the coaching skills gained during the training should lead to improved team working relationships, development of the skills of individuals in the team and an ability to identify and use different approaches for different individual learning styles.
