Government Funding

Up to £1,000 grant funding

Management development programmes and mentoring from KJ Associates may attract up to £1,000 grant funding support from the Government's Leadership and Management initiative Train to Gain.

Who can benefit?

Any owner, director or manager who wishes to fully exploit their capabilities and talents as a business leader.

How does it work?

An individual is assigned a specialist adviser who will carry out a review of their existing leadership and management capabilities. The adviser will then prepare a complimentary Personal Development Plan (PDP) for them, addressing key development requirements in relation to the needs of the business or the opportunity available.

Eligibility

A business must meet the following criteria:

  • Between five and 250 employees. (This applies to the whole company, not an individual site.)
  • Private, franchise, public and voluntary bodies (eligible employee size-band for public and voluntary bodies is 10 to 249 employees).
  • Not benefited from Leadership and Management grant funding since April 2006.

Grant Funding

Up to £1,000 for the cost of leadership and management activity is available to support owners/senior managers in eligible organisations. The second £500 of this £1,000 has to be matched, i.e. for an investment of £1,500, a grant of £1,000 will be awarded. If the full funding is not taken up by the first beneficiary, then other managers can be included dependent upon the business needs and further PDPs being produced.
